Senior Pre-Session Questionaire
- We'd like to get to know your Senior a little before we meet for their session. It's also very helpful to know what your Senior's expectations are ahead of time.
- Fill out Pre-Session Questionaire HERE.
Session Type (Seniors)
- If you have not yet selected your package, please take a look at what we offer HERE.
Location Selection
- A great starting point is to decide what kind of setting you'd like to be photographed in, such as: Urban, Natural, Park, Country, Farm, Gardens, High School, Athletic Field, etc. We are very open to your ideas for locations and would love to hear them!
- Should you need some help considering locations, please take a look at our Photography Location Guide for our favorite places in Southwestern Ohio and Northern Kentucky. The locations are broken down by category.
- Another way to select a location is to look through the galleries on our website and let us know what you like. We can help you from there!
- **Please be aware that some locations may host festivals, weddings, and events (especially on Friday and Saturday nights.) Let us know as soon as you decide on your location so we can check to see if any scheduled events conflict with your choice.
Payment
- Full payment is due at the time of your first session. Please contact us if you need to make special arrangements.
- We accept Cash or Venmo @Margaret-Long-33. We also will accept checks payable to Margie Long.

Shoot Times & Weather
- We will generally want to schedule your session during early morning at sunrise or at sunset. This is the best time for optimum lighting.
- Overcast skies are actually a good thing and we can control the lighting better.
- We will watch the weather forecast and communicate with you if the weather does not seem ideal for your session and will re-schedule.
Arrive On Time (Seniors With Parent or Guardian)
- Arrive to your session location about 15 minutes early. Let Matt know ASAP if you are going to be late or need to reschedule.
- Seniors must have a parent or guardian over the age of 18 accompany them on their shoot. Failure to do so will result in a re-schedule and you may be charged for travel time.
Clothing
- CLOTHING CHANGES: Not all locations will have a public restroom to change in so please be prepared to bring a blanket to change under in your car under or wear an under shirt, sport shorts or something under your clothes so you can change comfortably.
- Bring an extra back-up outfit or outfits.
- Plan for a complete outfit head to toe...for close ups and wide shots.
- Iron your clothing and make sure your clothes are free from wrinkles. They do show up in your photographs.
- Make sure your clothes are free from lint and pet hair. It will definitely show up in your photographs. Especially on dark clothing.
- Wear clothing that you feel comfortable in and matches your style. Your clothing should be suitable for the location of your session. Clothing and location all work together to make a great image!
- Avoid short shorts or showing too much skin. It rarely photographs well.
- Add interest to your photos by utilizing layers such as jackets, scarves, and cardigans. These add opportunities for posing. Dresses or skirts that flow can be beautiful...showing movement in your photographs.
- For groups: Please coordinate your attire in a subtle way by picking a color palette that each group member can vary a bit. Avoid being too matchy-matchy or identical.
- Accessories look amazing in photographs so go for it! Hats, belts, scarves, suspenders, neckties, sunglasses, and colored/patterned sox look great! Jewelry (watches, earrings, necklaces, bracelets & colorful bangles, rings.
- If you have any questions at all about your clothing choices, please take a photo of your outfit and text it to 513-280-1315 and we will be happy to take a look and make suggestions.
Skin & Make Up
- Do not over do it. Natural looks better on camera. Makeup should only be slightly heavier than normal.
- Make sure mascara is free of clumps.
- Avoid shiny or sparkly make up....it doesn't photograph correctly and leaves you with white spots on your skin.
- Use a light translucent powder to control shine. (Recommended for the men and boys too!)
- Dry flaky skin shows up in photos. Please use a moisturizer.
- Please use a chapstick or lip gloss. Dry cracked lips show in photographs.
- ACNE: We will retouch acne and pimples or soften them. Please let us know if you have any specific concerns.
- SCARS: Scars are not edited out unless you request. (Not including acne scars) We generally will soften them tough.
Hair
- Bring your hair products, mirror, combs and brushes with you to shoot.
- If it is going to be a humid day, please plan to use an anti-frizz hair product. Frizz will show up in your photographs as a halo and may require an extra charge if it needs to be edited out.
